February 14, 2024 - Even at 8 to 9 years old, this wine is still quite enjoyable. It has tropical fruit, bitter citrus, with balanced acidity.
December 4, 2023 - Similar notes as my last bottle earlier this year. The wine has good minerality, tropical fruit, bitter citrus, with balanced acidity.
September 6, 2023 - Tropical fruit, bitter citrus, with balanced acidity. I would recommend enjoying this vintage sooner than later.
August 30, 2023 - I pleasantly surprised how well this has held up. Balanced, citrus, peppery, good mineralogy and acidity. Drink now -2026.
April 23, 2023 - Enough energy and zest to make this fresh and drinkable.
There is tropical fruit and a pleasant vein of light spice.
Good, layered, quaffable wine.
April 13, 2023 - Tropical fruit, bitter citrus, white pepper, and some savory notes to this wine. It’s nice at this stage.
July 17, 2021 - Nice. Ready to consume.
March 24, 2021 - No re-fermentation issues this time. A rich and ripe vintage for Renner, but this wine seems to be ageing really well. Baked yellow apples, some tropical fruits (mango?) and a good dose of black pepper, a vegetal streak, a lot of bitter flavored citrus, slightly creamy finish. Not quite as fresh and mineral as in the cooler vintages, but this is impressive for its density and richness and it is starting to develop some more complexity with age. Should hold well for another 10 years. - 91 points
October 13, 2020 - 1 hr decant...first taste is so great, honeyed with snap pea bitterness combined, finishes with bitter and sweet viscosity. Great for me and so typical for the GV's I love. I do believe youth in these wines are key to keeping the freshness and vitality alive.
May 26, 2019 - Pineapple, stone fruits, citrus, slight mineral. Slight bitterness. Perhaps overpriced for what it brings to the table. Or just too young.
