March 28, 2021 - Pale red colored, with aromas of cherries, pine, brine and spice. While pleasantly lightweight on the palate and light colored in the glass, the flavors are impressively dense: cherries, green herbs, pine, and spice. A white floral note emerges on the finish. The palate is savory with an acidic lift that seems to encourage additional sips. A very good food wine and a very good QPR. Drink now - 2023.

October 15, 2019 - Very light tea-crimson color. Nose herbal, red fruited. Palate tart red bing cherries, some anise/herbal, light body. Faintly chalky towards finish. Could be more complex but very classically styled, well made

May 21, 2019 - On first pop, this scarlet colored wine threw some funkiness on the nose that has nearly all but dissipated on the 2nd day open, perhaps replaced by tar or incompletely brined olive flesh. Else wise, the wine offers scents of sour cherries with a floral flourish. For my palate, this wine is demanding food along side, and it is remarkable how full the mid-palate grew with just a single rustic cracker taken a minute ahead of a sip. I believe this wine is fuller on the palate than the '15 Rhonda's I recently tried, but whereas the fullness of depth and flavor on the other was something of a magic trick, appearing from the more ethereal, transparent liquid, here it comes across in a more linear and obvious presentation. I definitely agree with others on the saline component, particularly notable in the finish. This is a fine representation and blend for the appellation.

April 3, 2019 - Pale ruby. CMN’s note from Jan 2018 is generally apt for us, and we will add: persistent lightness of color is deceiving. This has surprising depth. It shows beautifully integrated black tea-like aspects, and perhaps a touch of pine and saline. Harmonious and highly enjoyable over three nights. (Our second impressive Pinot Noir from this winery in the last week.)

January 26, 2018 - Red colored and slightly pale, with a nose of bing cherries, spice and pine. On pop and pour, the palate is silky, light+ bodied with ripe cherries without the sweetness, and spice. After an hour of air, the structure comes out and the fruit recedes a bit, morphing flavors to pomegranite. Within 6-12 months the color should darken and the body should flesh out a bit. A very good appellation wine that is also a QPR winner. 12.9% abv.
