March 21, 2021 - Much better than last bottle, which in retrospect, must have been slightly flawed.

March 19, 2021 - Outstanding. Definitely get the funk. Could easily pass as a perfectly aged old world wine.

March 12, 2021 - Wife and I differed in that I thought it was funky with barnyard and she thought it was lightly flawed. Was OK but didn't like enough to finish the bottle, esp. because the Mrs. didn't help out. Didn't check the notes here until the day after, and see a number of notes describing last night's wine.

July 1, 2020 - Light body with funky floral flavor. I ran into another floral type wine a few weeks ago and let it go a day so those floral flavors would subside, which they did. This bottle took 2 days, but still had it at a level that was in enjoyable to me.

June 26, 2020 - Berserker Day Case Purchase. Excellent, some barnyard funk on the nose, blue fruited with pepper spice and nice balance of fruit and acidity, medium body with very good structure on the mid-palate, long tasty finish. As good or better than the 2014. We really liked the funk.... Agree with most of the prior notes.

June 8, 2020 - This has such an intense nose! While I was decanting, the room was filled with an aroma of berries and earth. After sitting for two hours or so, I poured a glass. The fruit now smelled perfectly ripe—blueberries and raspberries dominate with some oak and coffee to make it interesting. The palate is more of the same with berry tart, earth, and somewhat prominent alcohol. The tannins still have a bit of grip to them, so it would hold for a few years if you just. But if you like fruit... grab the corkscrew.

June 7, 2020 - This was really good. GSM at its best. A touch of barnyard funk which I loved, coupled with red and blue fruit, licorice, white pepper, and Asian spices. Good acidity. Blind I might have struggled figuring out this was new world. Wish I had more!

May 31, 2020 - Happy to say that my bottle had very little of the brett referenced in another note. I got a competent GSM blend that went well with food, and that represented a good value for the $15 price from Last Bottle. That said, my wife found it too big and meaty and didn’t care for it.

May 23, 2020 - Wildly complex, with barnyard and peppery funk giving way to blue fruits. There is A LOT going on here for a $15 Last Bottle wine. Texture is nice, too. This was polarizing in my house (wife was put off by the barny-ness) but I liked it and am excited to see how it shows tomorrow. 90+.

Adding a point on night two, as this has balanced out a bit more. Blind, this could easily be convinced for a well-made Rocks District wine from Washington. It drinks like a baby Cayuse in some respects.
