November 8, 2023 - First Epoch in a long time and it’s nice. Thought I’d waited too long, but this one’s still in it’s prime.
September 15, 2023 - Nose: dark fruit, baking spices, blueberry pie, jammy, bramble, eucalyptus, chocolate, cedar
Palate: raspberry and blackberry jam, black cherry, cedar; full body; drying tannins;
Overall: it has a nice nose but the structure feels a bit off, a lot of drying tannins. Good if you want a big fruit/jammy wine with food.

September 15, 2023 - Method: double decanted 30 minutes prior; well chilled; Cab glass
Look: deep purple
Nose: raspberry, blackberry, bramble, chocolate, oak/wood, light dried herbs
Palate: raspberry, blackberry, bramble, bitter dried herbs; long- finish chocolate, bramble, bitter dried herbs; dry; full- body; high- astringent tannins; medium acidity
Overall thoughts: High, low quality tannings and a significant bitterness on the palate really detract from this wine. Otherwise, it's a solid effort with nice body, solid fruit, and a bit of complexity. 83 - 84 points. Mediocre to pretty good wine.
February 14, 2023 - Cherry, vanilla, silky tannins and a long finish. Restrained, layered, and elegant.
July 11, 2022 - WIML93
Tasted non blind.
Dark garnet color in the glass, clear looking throughout. Nose of flowers, currants, plums and a hint of spice box. Flavors of red berries, cherries, raspberries and plums. Medium to tart acidity, medium to firm tannin, full bodied. Drink or hold.
May 4, 2022 - Drank within 3 days. Day one coravin - after 15 min in the glass - cured meat , spice and dark cherry on the nose. Cherry, dark chocolate dominate the palate. High alcohol is fighting with spice but in a good way. Day two - pnp-best of all. 30 min. in the glass .Nutty flavors plus jam strawberry , alcohol integrates. Day three finished the bottle leftovers thru 1 hr decant. High alcohol is back but wine is drinking smoothly . Paired with grilled pork chops and chicken.
March 11, 2022 - very tasty. Dark fruits. Very smooth
January 24, 2021 - Dark, ruby color, good clarity, raspberry, plum aromas. Medium body, high acidity, tannins a bit bitter, harsh. Red fruit flavors, raspberry, cherry, somewhat mellow.
December 6, 2020 - Distinctive Paso Robles red that blends the Rhône with Tempranillo and Zinfandel. Intense, dark fruit, chocolate, and cedar. Complex, harmonious, secondary. A big wine in a good place at five yesrs, with its best years still ahead.
September 18, 2020 - Opens with red fruit--cranberry, red plum, strawberry. Acid tartness led me to calling out cranberry. Some baking spices. Tannin seems to sneak up on me. Good full-bodied wine.
