February 5, 2016 - This was still quite youthful. First day, this had a lot of unresolved tannins and oak. It was much more refined the second day; lots of dark fruit and cassis but classic Red Mountain tannins still there. Seems to be no hurry on this one. 88 + 92 = 90

January 21, 2016 - Have just re-arranged our cellar and found this bottle. Have had it stored at about 54 degrees and is still terrific. Great notes of blackberry, cassis, and tar. The cork was not compromised, perfect shape. As it decants, it opens up and is very enjoyable.

October 8, 2013 - Showing a little bricking, but still a lovely claret color. Nice nose with bright red fruit, red hard candy and a hint of creosote. Medium to full in the mouth, sweet red fruit, a note of licorice, nice acidity and lingering tannins to focus the finish.

November 14, 2012 - Wow! What a difference a bottle can make. After my experiences with the first two bottles I didn't expect much from this other than a difficult cork. Wrong! Cork came out clean and looked great. Wonderful nose of earth, veggies and muted fruit. Old world style palate of veggies (green pepper predominate) and oak with a background of dark fruit. Nice acidity and some lingering tannins made this a great bottle of wine. If scoring 90-92.

March 6, 2012 - Cork disintegrated upon opening. Got more in the bottle than out. I am sure thats the reason it's been discounted! The fruit seems to be a bit faded, the tannins and oak are still present. Enjoyable, and would love to have tried it three years ago.
