  April 6, 2024 - Sehr helles bis grünliches Strohgelb. Explosiv in der Nase, Zitrusfrüchte, Weintrauben, Strohblumen, Wiesenkräuter. Am Gaumen toller Zug, frische, fast schon elektrisierende Säure (sehr zitrusfruchtig), auch etwas Pfirsich, Honigmelone. Ein grossartiger Riesling in erster Reife.

  February 27, 2022 - Decanted 6 hrs. Pretty new to Shafer Frohlich, my first bottle was the 18 Schiefergestein trocken, which was a good but not great experience, had me a little unsure if this GG was worth the scratch. Concern thyself not, this baby was the real deal. From the time this was decanted to the last sip, the nose was the prime time player, revealing the full arsenal of dry Riesling: florals / citrus skins zested over gravelly rocks / the suggestion a slight drizzle of honey / fresh herbs et etc. The palate was *almost* as good, though a tad more reserved, tight even, but nonetheless a sheer delight to drink. The fresh herbs on the nose were present as well along with pleasing saline kick on the back end that played so well off the lemony citrus fruit. I just love really good dry Rieslings.

  July 21, 2020 - Wow, what a mineralic behemoth. Bouquet of citrus fruits (lime and grapefruit) and limestone. The mouthfeel is medium to full bodied with saliva inducing salinity. This is quite a milestone for Tim’s new Grand Cru Plot. It’s close to greatness.

  May 10, 2018 - Popped, poured, consumed over next two hours. Excelllent balance of minerals, fruit, citrus and saline with a beguiling finish. Lovely. 95+
