March 24, 2024 - Very brown gold color. The nose immediately brings me to a vin jaune. Med acidity, med body, med alcohol, med flavor intensity, med finish. Oxidised, not very acid, orange, hay, salinity, very much vin jaune. Guess this is not the idea so marked the bottle as off.

July 14, 2023 - Bruised apples on the nose, spices, roasted hazelnuts. Excellent intensity. Reminds me almost more of a Chenin Blanc than a "classic" Chardonnay. Ripe fruit on the full bodied, velvety textured palate, for me not really on the tropical side I think, more like really ripe apples and pears. Some sweetness for sure, but in balance. Savory, almost peppery towards the long finish. Beautiful, special bottle of Chard. 17/20

May 9, 2023 - Nose shows primarily lemon oil. On the palate the first impression is waxiness, but then on the finish there's a burst of ripe, tropical flavors buttressed by solid acidity. There is a viscous quality here, like sauternes. Not an especially elegant wine, but a solid sipper.

March 10, 2023 - Ripe, juicy citrus flavors drizzled with honey. Sufficient acidity but structured more by mineral extract than acid.

October 11, 2022 - pours a deep gold color. nose with an initial woodsy must that blew off quickly and gave way to pear. big bodied with mediumish acidity and alcoholic heat. big fruit flavors of pear, tangerine, banana, and pineapple and laced with faint caramel. flinty stone at the back with some alcoholic heat and banana peel. best around cellar temp.
