August 6, 2023 - Weekend in Michigan with Wine; 8/5/2023-8/6/2023 (Asian Spice House - Buchanan MI): Perfumed nose with so much spice and dense, ripe black and red berries. Possibly still slightly showing its new oak, but a real glorious aromatic entrance. Flavors follow through, even with some less intensity or complexity. Maybe some further upside.

April 6, 2022 - Side by side the Cras 15 (among others) during a CLB NSG 1er cru evening. This was probably the preferred young wine at the table out of those younger Cras plus CGV 14+17. For me possibly too but by a whisker vs the 15. The 16 had a noticable reduction, it was very electric in its energy and inner mouth tension (vs the more lush and plush 15) yet with immense fruit intensity leaning slightly more to dark than red fruits (vs 15 is decidedly red). A very complete wine that would be very intersting to revisit in 5-10 years. 95++

August 25, 2021 - Absolutely sublime nose of deep rhubarb, red and blue fruits and lots of spice. Superb power and concentration on the palate without being heavy at all. Expect this will lengthen with time but just a wonderful display of primary fruit right now. Liger pricing across his whole range reflects the expectation you will have this experience with each bottle which is not always the case, but it sure was tonight.

January 13, 2020 - Love this. Wonderful spice and rhubarb. Full and sappy. This may start to become my favorite vineyard from Liger Belair.
