December 23, 2023 - Powerful Pinot Noir from Givry. Full of fruits, licorice, subtle forest scent. For me, one of best valuable wine of this year.

January 7, 2023 - Lumpp apparently still rides under the radar as this drinks well above the $40 I paid for it. Opened 2hrs prior to dinner and decided to slow ox in 2 Riedel Burgs & btl. Semi deep ruby red. Fantastic effusive Burg nose of roses, berries, spice & emerging underbrush. Palate is energetic but plush and loaded with dark raspberry, mineral & hint of cinnamon. There's a pulsing underlying complexity still to emerge. 13% alc. Reminds me not a little bit of Mugneret Gibourg. 2 left and I'll grab more if I can find them.
September 5, 2022 - We have a few bottles of this so opening it perhaps a bit early. Attractive nose, excellent red fruits, a bit of herbs. Medium acidity. Not a deeply complex burgundy but really lovely with lunch on a sunny day in Paris.
August 17, 2022 - Poivre et épices très présent au nez et en bouche. Beau fruits rouges dans un style légé et aérien. Tout de même simple.
January 3, 2022 - Remplie de fruits rouges, un peu d’herbes fraiches, une texture soyeuse, s’ensuit une longueur correcte. Un vin de plaisir, il n’a pas une complexité folle, mais doté d’une forte buvabilité. Ça pinotte!

April 10, 2021 - I found this really enjoyable. Perhaps a couple of years before really hitting its stride, but already very pleasurable. The nose was very pretty, with drifts of violets and dark cherries along with nice bits of earthy mineral and a bit of spice. The palate slipped in and out of youthful tightness, with bright notes of black cherries tracking a core of darker blackberry and cassis notes, these seasoned with a little bit of spice another drift of violets towards the finish. Simple, but juicy and yummy. There was just a bit of youthful tannic chew and a primary edge to the fruit, making the wine come across rather sinewy, but these will no doubt resolve in time to make really delicious wine.
January 9, 2021 - Black fruit on the nose, hint of aging at the rim and on the palate a really balanced, blackberry raspberry crunch with quite a firm structure. Lovely now perhaps at peak in a year or two and plenty after that.
December 30, 2020 - Fruits rouges croquants, bien équilibré. Rien de complexe mais très bon.
