April 30, 2024 - Really nice right now. Give it 20 mins to really open up. Nice fruit and complexity. Had with pork and it was perfect. Will not get better.
March 5, 2024 - Very dark, purple rim.
Gorgeous ripe mixed berries and dark spice, seamlessly integrated. More flesh than your average CDR, velvety, extremely smooth, impressive length. Blue and red fruits, silky tannins, refined acidity, nicely structured. This could definitely age but it is excellent drinking now.
February 11, 2024 - This wine aged very well. Almost no sediment at all. Medium bodied with the cherry flavor. Paired with my Ribeye
December 9, 2023 - I've had a few vintages of Mon Coeur, and this was the best. Right in the middle of its drinking window; better on the first night (after an 30 min to an hour of air) than the second. Savory and plummy.
August 1, 2023 - Fine, not getting massively excited by it though. 3.5-
July 8, 2023 - Solid wine and in a good place. It needs a little bit to open. Nice earth and dark fruit.
June 28, 2023 - Well made CDR, easy drinking but not overly interesting.
It is OK value @£11.50 all in but in this class the benchmark is the Guigal CDR which I believe holds a little more interest and can be had for less in the numerous supermarket sales.
May 8, 2023 - über 2 Tage getrunken. Am ersten Tag noch etwas spitze Säure und Sauerkirsche. Am 2.ten Tag ist das alles besser eingebunden. Die Säure nicht mehr so spitz, die Sauerkirsch ist nicht mehr so sauer, sondern eher Herzkirsche, mittlerer Körper und mittlerer Abgang. Trinkt sich gut!
November 27, 2022 - 90/91. Gave this 60-90 mins aeration. Has aromas of blackberries, gun flint, tapenade, rocks and sour cherries. Its solid decently oaked smooth peppery black fruits palate has nice length and freshness. 14.5%. Lay down 2-5 years.
December 27, 2021 - Notiz am 3. Tag. Ohne Qualitätsverlust, Duft nach dunklen Beeren, am Gaumen kompakt, mit spürbaren, jedoch geschliffenen Tanninen, neben dunklen Früchten Noten von Oliventapenade. Abgang mittellang. Jetzt gut zu trinken.
