April 12, 2019 - No formal notes. General impression, decent qpr. Citrus and minerally driven.

March 4, 2019 - Tasted at the Skurnik Grand Portfolio Tasting in NYC. Poured by Matt Hobbs. I was told this had 60%new French oak (in another note SRH indicates a lower 48%??) Lots of buttered popcorn on the nose. Palate is rich and buttery with medium acidity to balance it to some extent. Oakiness comes through on the finish as well. Nice texture and lemon/citrus in the mid-palate. Somewhat typical Cali Chard for me. QPR???

July 21, 2018 - CA Chards vs. White Burgundies (Vintage Wines Ltd., San Diego, CA): "Whole cluster pressed while still cold from the field; Barrel-fermented with indigenous yeasts; Spontaneous malolactic fermentation in barrel; Aged 10 mos in FR oak barrels (48% new), 5 months in s/s; (Coopers: Cadus, Damy, Louis Latour, Francois Frères, Gauthier, & Leroi); Aged sur lies with biweekly bâtonnage; Unfined and unfiltered; bottled January 2018"

N: Butter (but with restraint?), & with OTHER stuff goin' on; Attractive!

P: MF body; RNDISH entry with NICE, ALMOST swtish OAK/frt BEAUTIFULLY counterbalanced by an acidity which morphs into a LONG, balanced, tangy/swt finish with OCCASIONAL *hints* of bitterness. For now, but could improve for 6-12 mos, then drink nicely for 3 yrs more. My EXC-/EXC. [This vendor's $49.95 is $15 < the only currently listed wine-searcher U.S. source!]

July 6, 2018 - Just a fantastic bottle with great fruit. Wish I had more of this gem. Cheers

June 23, 2018 - Fairly developed and substantially more open than the single vineyards at this point. Loads of creamy stone fruit, melon, butterscotch and toasted oak. Drink now if over the next few years. Acidity hits on the finish along with some heat. Well made but structure is a little loose.
