May 14, 2023 - Mahogany core with rusty orange at the rim. Raisinated fruit is prominent on the nose; raisin, dates, figs, with caramel, cigar box, leather, and a touch of chocolate. Palate confirms. This is definitely showing a bit of accelerated aging, and is from a different purchase from previous bottles, must've been less than ideal storage at some point. Still quite good. Medium body, medium minus tannins, medium minus acidity.

January 22, 2023 - Used my Venturi to aerate into the decanter followed by a 30 minute decant. The aroma on this wine is outstanding. I could smell it from two feet away. Paired perfectly with baked lasagna. After dinner, the finish became astringent, dry, and grippy. Therefore, if drinking now, you must pair it with food or hold in cellar for at least three more years.
