November 23, 2017 - Past its prime.
April 30, 2016 - Perfect, with lamb chops and a wonderful Bernaise
March 12, 2016 - Beautiful bouquet. Not much of a finish but still holding its own.
June 21, 2015 - Creamy, strawberries and cream and cherry aromas and flavours, Chocolate, smooth tannins. Very enjoyable, plenty of life ahead.
March 14, 2015 - Dark ruby to translucent Crimson. Medium weight. Nose of tar, cherry and oak. Some noticeable heat on opening but less obtrusive with air. It settles out to a bright lively moderate to heavily extracted wine, with big flavor but decent balance so it comes off well.
January 8, 2015 - The wine did have to be decanted for about 2 hours to open up even now (1/2015) but then it was smooth and dry but very full bodied. Cherry, raspberry with a bit of a spicy end. Excellent to drink.
October 1, 2014 - A little funky on the nose, especially on the second day. A bit like wet cut grass. Tasted better on second day. Starts with caramel and bit of the pinot spice. Finish is light and fresh. Medium to lighter bodied wine. Held up well, not much life left. Drink up.
August 29, 2014 - What a terrific wine. We opened this bottle as an afterthought. This was an impressive wine. Really smooth tannins with well balanced acidity. Great layers of strawberries, figs and loam.
March 7, 2014 - Opened and allowed to breathe for an hour before drinking. Beautiful brick red color, with no browning at the rim. Nose of cherry, plum, some eucalyptus and green twig, mint and light strawberry. In the mouth, cherry, plum and strawberry with a little smoke. Long, juicy finish with some heat, perhaps reflecting the 14.5% ABV. A delicious complement to poached salmon. I'm happy that I have a few bottles left.
February 20, 2014 - Oh my goodniss. A Sonoma Coast Pinot that approaches a Russian River Pinot in delicacy, balance, fruit, tarteness, and enjoyment.
