  May 1, 2021 - Wow! This wine just keeps going. Bottle No. 4640 of 840 cases produced. Firm tannins with dark fruited Zinfandel flavors. Plum and cherry with a perfect amount of age.

  March 15, 2012 - Fill into neck, perfect capsule and cork. Allowed to breathe in glass 20 minutes before tasting. Clear medium deep garnet. Lovely bouquet of blackberry jam, raspberry liqueur, seaweed, touch of cocoa, nutmeg, and oak. Similar on the palate, with typical zinfandel heat and medium finish. Most of the older zinfandels I have tasted recently have been disappointing, but this one is still very much alive. Still fine after 24 hours under vacuum stopper.

  June 13, 2010 - Better than the last. Wonderfully complex and aromatic. Tart strawberry, earth, jam, coffee and pepper. Long finish. Beuatiful aged yet youthful.

  February 27, 2010 - Drinking Cheap Wine with the Relatives; 2/26/2010-2/27/2010 (Byron, IL): Wonderfully complex, deep and flavorful. Berries and earth and spice and complexityh and an aged-ness. So complex and interesting. Nice finish, too.
