February 19, 2023 - Hard to believe this bottle has been in the cellar for 4+ years. Seems like I just purchased it.....and it's my last of this particular one. Pnp into a decanter for 2 hours prior to the HMCs coming over for apps and dinner. A bit too fruit juicy and slightly tight to start but at hour 1-2 it settles in and is quite nice. Typical BCellars nose, palate and feel. The energy is palpable. At hours 3-4 it's a ton of blackberry and smooth, but I think I liked the energy at hour 1-2 the best. Probably a 96 then, settles into the 94-95 range after that so averaging the score out to a 95. Try these in the first 2 hours if you have them. HMC and I were discussing how long lived these might be...and I can see another 10-15+ years, but why? They won't be what they are young. They may be smooth, integrated and very nice but one's got to think the great BCellars energy will wane. The big hit of hedonistic fruit that you enjoy in the first 5-8 years will be quite subdued. I guess if you buy wines to get them to that point, then go for it. I have many wines I enjoy like that but I buy BCellars to enjoy in it's strongest years, which 'all in' for my palate are ages 3-8 given the vagaries of each vintage.

December 3, 2022 - Drank two of these over the last couple of weeks, one at home with Christine and the other with our Denver tasting group. Both bottles were great, a pleasure to polish off a bottle on our own and a top wine for the tasting group Cab night. High alcohol but the abundance of fruit, structure and acidity somehow keep it in balance. Wine lasts a good 4-5+ hours.

November 25, 2021 - Another high end bottle that took forever to hit its peak on this night, leaving the last glass to ultimately wow me. Keep wasting the first half or more of the bottle! Splash decanted and then slow ox-ed for 3 hours before returning to the decanter and drank over another 3 hours. It is an alcoholic, in your face, dirt monster early on. 16.1%! happy to say that by hour 5-6, it comes together (although still a brute) as the booziness subsides, wine balances, and dirt mostly turns to mocha, dark chocolate and earthiness ("rounded dirt"). Great body and loooong finish. It's memorable but was more impressed by a 2004 Caymus believe it or not, that we drank ahead of it.

June 25, 2021 - smooth, no tannins to deal with. One of our favorite B cellars wines

January 31, 2021 - Agree with another couple of years the faint heat should blow off.
