Community Tasting Notes 9

  • pdxwinefan Likes this wine:

October 1, 2023 - Toasted almonds, hazelnut aromas. A nice balance of acidity (peach overtones) and malo giving some creaminess. Very, very good.

May 31, 2023 - A bit closed on the nose but coaxing reveals orchard fruits, lemon and biscuits. Some development via dried apple and hay. Medium bodied with a long, toasty finish. I don't think that this has the fruit intensity to go much further but no immediate rush.

    WSET Notes:

    Medium lemon.

Medium plus intensity on the nose with apple, pear, lemon, biscuit, butter, toast, wet stone, dried apple and hay. Developing.

Pronounced and dry on the palate. High acidity, medium body, medium alcohol, long finish.

Can drink now but has potential for ageing.

Pronounced and complex stone fruit, oak, malolactic and lees aromas.
    Long finish.
    Outstanding

December 4, 2022 - Light lemon colour. Initally matchstick reduction with stone fruit and lemon on nose. Palate very linear, mineral but with ripe stone fruit. A bit lean, finishing with balanced acidity and length. Nice but could be a bit fleshier.
