January 29, 2020 - 100% Mourvedre. "Whole cluster fermented and aged... Bottled unfined and unfiltered.. 11.7%"

Mildly gamey version of a big, bold blackberry note. Moderate acidity and some spice in the form of black peppercorn, silky tannins. The gamey note is not offensive, and is in fact pleasant. This wine inspired me to sample widely from this vineyard, and I still think it is one of my favorite offerings there.

May 10, 2018 - At tasting. From volcanic soils. Dark ruby color. Nose intense, fruity, tropical notes. Palate bright cherry, some plummy depth, iron core, hint of black pepper per J. Finish slightly tannic/chalky. Really nice, one of our favorites of the tasting. 93 pts
