March 22, 2024 - From a vintage without much of a reputation, this is quite a surprise. The wine offers ample levels of sweet, ripe, kirsch, dried flowers, mint, and spice. On the palate, the wine is fresh, refined, medium-bodied, and loaded with sweet, bright, kirsch notes. Drink from 2024-2030.

December 21, 2022 - Medium red, no brick.
Red berries and black spice, refined , fragrant.
Delicious blend of red berries and spice, soft and fleshy , nice acid balance , refined tannins . Stylish drinking. Little sign of age, just beautiful .

November 16, 2022 - La Tablee: Rayas Dinner with Gregory Castells & Martine Saunier (La Mercerie): Tougher year and here there was a bit of brett which I'm not totally against but it's harder in the Rayas where the appealing comes from this clean fresh elegant style. It took away a bit. Not throwing it out of my glass, but not as good as the '95.

June 29, 2022 - Mostly CDP dinner (The Capital Grille at Tysons corner, VA): Unfortunately corked!

February 12, 2022 - Decanted 3 hours in advance. Nose started out with notes of Kalamata olive, seaweed/briny notes. As evening went on the wine developed endless layers on the nose and palate. Every few minutes something new emerges. Alas this was the last bottle of '94 for us but what a way to go. Still in tannin/acid balance. Chapeau.
