July 2, 2023 - Light cedar nose; some leather; lean smooth lightly tannic berry; long supple finish.
May 8, 2023 - Corked beyond belief
April 10, 2023 - Tasted blind next to the 1983 Lalande. Disappointing. Fully resolved, not much structure left, tastes like an older wine with a short finish.
February 11, 2023 - Pronounced nose intensity with notes of toast, charr wood, spices, cooked black fruits. Medium acidity and medium tannin. At its best drinking window. Will not improve further. Drank the 3/12 OWC. Consistent notes.

November 26, 2022 - cork had crumbled; to me well on the decline
October 16, 2022 - Tight; bracing; light earthy blackberry; blended tannin; moderate finish.
August 14, 2022 - Never tried a 40 yo st Julien before. Always found the region a bit dour, and have tended to favour right bank. Now I get it. Magnificently smooth. Pleased I have a couple more to go. Shame I might not be around to enjoy my 2019s as much!
May 27, 2022 - This bottle appeared to be heat damaged. One tasted called tca and she might be right but it wasn’t muted to me, just cooked.
