February 9, 2021 - Medium expressive mostly tertiary nose displaying subtle slightly dry red fruit, dry cherry, strawberry, strong garrigue and tobacco, white pepper, sweet spices and earth. Medium concentration, finely layered subtle red fruit, silky, good acidity, earth mineral and a medium long subtle red fruit driven finish with tobacco at the end. There is a hint of bitterness that I associate with mature Grenache. No need to wait.

April 20, 2019 - Had two bottels tonight - very good, still fresh and enjoyable. Drink up now or within the next years.

August 22, 2018 - Opened about an hour before consuming with grilled bratwurst. Since I am not generally a fan of "aged" CDP, this was a nice upside surprise. The color was light and a tad rusty. The nose to me was all garrigue, and very pleasant at that. The mouthfeel was silky --dare I say "burgundian"? None of the heat or harshness that often describes grenache (though I am not sure about this particular CDP blend). There is not tremendous power left here, though the length was decent. Overall this was not a profound wine, but for this taster was quite pretty, and probably near an optimal point in its evolution.

August 9, 2018 - 5th oif 12. Well rounded medium bodied chateauneuf has developed nicely with a mellow herby fruit but some earthiness. 4/5

January 20, 2018 - Tasted blind. Welcoming nose of white pepper, fresh squeezed lemon juice, rhubarb, and a ton of garrigue. Great acidity, strawberry-rhubarb notes. Garrigue palate, with a ton of licorice, oregano, and tea leaf. Settled and ready to drink. Intense licorice and sage finish. This is an herb bomb and I like it a lot.
