February 14, 2024 - Mature black cherry start-to-finish, slightly meaty and faintly spiced. The tannins are old school and robust, but have softened gracefully. Best once open an hour+, but the final 1/3 of the bottle was clearly tired on Night 2.

December 15, 2018 - Wines Tasted at HDH Auction; 12/13/2018-12/15/2018 (Spiaggia - Chicago IL): Small glass, brief note. Black cherry with spice and earth with plenty of tannins, but they are so elegant. Old School purity while also very clean and precise. Very enjoyable in a style of wine I truly enjoy.

December 15, 2018 - HDH December auction; 12/13/2018-12/15/2018 (Chicago, IL): Slight volatility on the nose here, but nice black fruit and earth. Quite earthy and tannic, with a real roasted quality to the dirt here. Lovely earth and rusticity here.
