July 4, 2020 - A nice wine, but Jimbo brings up a good point about some defect...an alcohol defect.......maybe brett(?), maybe an acetyl alcohol defect? It's hard to tell....but it's sweeter than it should be and tart, too. Weird. I think it was pretty good but not great. Something def going on with this wine. Good in its own way....

December 30, 2019 - We've had a few of these and they don't hit the PtV for us. Decent nose, however, have lacked richness, depth, and complexity that others achieve with this vineyards fruit quality.

December 11, 2019 - Same nose after 2 hours as the Janzen MH.....too funny! Very different until that point in time with much less fruit up front. The one factor that drags this down a point or two is the weight in the mouth. It is distinctly lighter than the Janzen version...and the fruit/acidity is just a tad less striking. This is still a very, very good wine but it got bested tonight by it's vineyard mate from Janzen. Thanks again HMC for opening!

July 14, 2019 - Napa 2019; 7/14/2019-7/18/2019: Red fruit, floral notes, faint bubble gum and a touch of brandy with a slight oak note on the nose. Oak in play on the palate, but tannins are in the background. More red fruit, bing cherries, faintish raspberry on the palate. We preferred this over the ‘14.

May 1, 2019 - Tasted @ ACME: a touch of rich brandy in the nose, caramel, some great structure here and mocha, earth on the end. I'd say this is a good example, and certainly enjoyable. Lay it down for a year or so, needs to work itself out, but will likely be excellent. 93++
