April 22, 2023 - Cellared this guy for nearly five years and finally pulled it out. Initially the nose on this wine was a little reductive and pungent, but this mostly blew off over the course of an hour. Didn't get tennis balls or honeysuckle like many FLX dry rieslings give me, but mostly lime zest and a steely character.
Light in body on the palate with searing(!!!) high acidity. Like, possibly the most acidic Finger Lakes wine I've ever purchased. Flavors are all tart citrus with notes of lime zest, lemon, grapefruit, and some earthy mineral. Slightly bitter, but not off-putting. Concentration is fairly good.
This is an acid head's wine, make no mistake. I cellared this to possibly tame the high acidity that I'd heard about from CT notes, but it's still very much there. Worth the buy for the experience of drinking such a distinctive wine. -

May 29, 2022 - Purchased direct from winery. 12.5% ABV
Color: delightful yellow-gold color
Nose: medium intensity. Riesling aromas jumped out of the glass. The nose alone was worth it!
Body/flavor: medium body. Complex crisp flavors of tropical fruits; white pepper; still has excellent acid balance
Aftertaste: lingering clean finish -

February 11, 2022 - Still thoroughly enjoying this wine. This is my last wine. Great acidity, medium body. Big grapefruit hit. Long finish. This is now a 6 year old wine and still drinking well. I'm not sure how long it will last.

April 21, 2020 - Still really enjoying this wine. It has a lightness, that works well with the acidity. The citric hit makes you sit up and pay attention. No weight. Great bracing drink.
