January 7, 2023 - These are drinking very nicely now with fifteen minutes of air. No need to wait any longer

September 27, 2019 - Dark garnet in color with slight break in edge. Knows of scorched earth and dark cherries. Taste of the cherries, smokey meats, leather, and hint of tar. Well balanced and interesting. Tastes evolved however it may have some upside so it will be interesting to store a few bottles. Drink over the next 3 to 7 years.

November 8, 2018 - Agree with CT member "wine strategies (TWP)". Brickish red and showing caramel tint on the edges. Fragrant nose indicating the juxtaposition of well-ripened brunello fruit aged in newer and older casks. Medium-long finish with lighter tannins that grip the side of the tongue. Improves with air. Suitably decadent. Drink now or wait, if you can.

February 17, 2018 - Benvenuto Brunello 2018, Montalcino centro; 2/16/2018-2/19/2018 (Montalcino): (Benvenuto Brunello, 2018, Montalcino) Very good. 100% for the first years in grandi botti di Slavonia, and after (if my notes are to be believed, this conversation was entirely in Italian, mind you), 40% in used/aged barrique. That said, the color is a striking, typical brick red with some tawny at the rim. And while it may look as if it's got some age, the medium-bodied palate comes across as very traditional, and very fresh. With some air, the body adds a touch of weight; the length is already impressive. Solid, and highly recommended
