January 6, 2024 - I bought 2016 St. Cosme: Cotes du Rhone, Gigondas, Cote Rotie, Crozes-Hermitage and St. Joseph. I've tasted all of them and have a few more of each. I think this was my favorite of these wines so far and likely will still improve. Very enjoyable 92+
August 5, 2022 - Als PnP am Grill weggezogen, wird dem Wein vielleicht nicht ganz gerecht.
In der Nase sehr stallig-reduktiv, keinesfalls unangenehm, mit viel roter Kirsche, etwas geliert, dazu etwas Blaubeere und Pflaume. Außerdem rohes Fleisch, Tomate, fleischig und als Sugo. Etwas Rauch. Etwas floral, das aber eher hintergründig.
Am Gaumen ebenfalls recht fleischig-fruchtig, sehr viel Gerbstoff, der aber gut integriert. Eher verhalten in der Säure, trotzdem durchaus mit Zug.
Würde ich beim nächsten Mal karaffieren, machte so aber schon mit Luft schön auf.

May 28, 2021 - Took at least 2 hours to really open up after decanting. Medium/full bodied, sour cherries, all spice, long pleasant finish, benefits from some time out of the bottle, bought as a tester, will buy more. Nothing amazing but good for 57

December 11, 2020 - Takes a while to open up. Opened ~2 hrs before pouring with dinner. At that point nothing to rave about, a little sour cherry, plum and other dark fruits, but feeling rather closed.
By end of dinner and next day the sweeter fruits really came through making it much more enjoyable.
December 15, 2019 - This wine is really good: it is full-bodied, dense, intensive, fruity and structured, with terrific aromas and flavors of blackberry, dark plum, earth, herbs and smoke. The tannins are nicely firm at the moment. If you do not mind drinking your wines young, this is in a very delicious spot even now.

L’ossature est un peu juste en bouche toutefois.

Très bon à excellent, mais sur 2016 dans cette AOC c’est un peu décevant.
