August 14, 2023 - Pours a thick and viscous opaque dark ruby purple. Great complex nose starts with dark fruit: blueberry, blackberry, cassis; then gives way to cola nut, root beer, coffee, and cocoa; then progresses on to leather, tobacco, and subtle oaky notes. Big full body, big bold chewy but approachable tannins, that stay with you throughout the very long finish, but are never bitter or astringent--a perfect example of what I've heard described as "pleasant chewiness". Nice acidity, balanced, just right to complement and cut through the big tannic structure. Served with a grilled prime ribeye steak, grilled asparagus, and sautéed mushrooms--perfect pairing. For the second glass. Paired with mocha chocolate almonds (64% cacao, so not too sweet), another winning match.

January 15, 2023 - This is delicious. Very concentrated fruit, not much oak influence. Already some tertiary notes, coffee and fig. Very deep wine thats just entering its drinking window. Tempting to drink more but I will try and hold for many more years.

Drank on its own but this will be delicious with a juicy steak

April 17, 2021 - Big red, leathery and juicy. Bought as first bottle at restaurant, a long decant would definitely have benefited this, but we finished it quickly and moved on to bottle #2 :)

January 29, 2021 - Trinchero knocked this out of the park. This oozes hints of leather, with earthy tones particularly reminds of the ocean currents leading to aromas of black currants, cherry and blackberries. On the palate this has an intensely smooth profile with a healthy balance of acidity. The tannins are chewy yet refined and the finish is very lengthy and delightful. Dink now or hold for 10-15 years - 1/29/2021.

September 19, 2019 - Brief tasting note, quite smoky with dark cherries, black peppercorns and green bell pepper, this was full-bodied and quite enjoyable. Until you see the price, at $75 USD, there are significantly better wines at $15 USD from Chile
