January 4, 2023 - Black fruit in front of a complex, meaty core, kind of a mid-level bass notes without being muddy or too deep. Finish is quick on acidity and well-integrated tannin. Great restaurant wine, by the glass with cassoulet, yum!

August 28, 2022 - 2 bottles decanted together. Now at its peak with the highlight of wonderful smoke and igneous minerality.
Drink up over the next year while at its best.

June 4, 2020 - Really singing and reaching its peak.
Core focussed dark berry fruit with smoke and dusty tannins. A distinct tufa-like mineral element not previously noted apparent. The best (and most elegant) CdR Villages I've come across!!
    Till 2023.

September 29, 2019 - Party Conference, Manchester with Jeroboams in the Blue Room. Limited notes.
Atypical beauty! Smokey, complex and above all remarkably elegant CdR Villages that clearly displays the producer's Burgundian expertise. Bought 6.
Should be good up to 8yrs from vintage - possibly more.

September 16, 2019 - Pen, men litt mangel på retning. Blomster, rødbær, løsemidler, eik. Lang og flott. 89

August 24, 2019 - Enjoyable.....let down a bit after a two hour decant. A good match with middle Easten Kofta.

October 6, 2018 - Fin, lige ud af landevejen Rhonevin med god frugt. Giv den en time i karaflen.

June 13, 2018 - Very dark red, looks like a typical southern rhone blend

The wine is a bit reductive, if on the 3rd day, from what seems to be excessive sulphur. Underneath there is a deep sweet cherry fruit character.

On the palate the wine is quite full bodied, a nice fruity character hits in front of the palate and follows all the way back. To me the wine lacks some acidity and resembles a cherry juice.

A bit disappointing, also when a try to see through the reductive character right now.

March 18, 2018 - During a walkabout tasting, so only brief impressions. Wow, Mounir Saouma ist a genious. Just like his terrific Burgundies, this wine has a deep bouquet of red and dark fruit, bred crumbs, with a gamy spicy, animalic touch, full of character and complexity. Also, the alcohol is in check with 14% - I think other Cote du Rhone / CdP producers should take example here and move away from those 15-16% wines. The wine remains dense, fruity but fresh and elegant. Kudos. The best Cote du Rhone I ever had (together with Chateau des Tours from the Rayas producer) and in a blind tasting this will displace many CdP. 94+
