October 24, 2021 - Enjoyed again at Pappageorge restaurant in Mankato, MN, for a reasonable (by restaurant standards) $48. A stalwart Pinot Noir!

(4/23/2021) Wow! Just a year later this wine is really strutting its stuff. Rich and full. At its peak but should hold for a number more years.

(1/20/2020) Stephen Ross Dooley's Edna Valley Pinots are unmistakable. They are neither Burgundian nor Oregonian nor none of the Pinot styles from northern California. They are unique and powerful. This one is typical of Edna Valley but restrained: only 13.4% alcohol in an age when Pinots often soar above 14%. While soft and drinkable now, a few more years the the bottle will yield positive results.

September 12, 2020 - Wine pours to a rich purple red color. Powerful aromas of dark fruit fill the glass. Tastes of cherry, raspberry and minerals are amazingly orchestrated. Drinks more like a Burgandy than a typical California Pinot Noir. I absolutely love this wine and would recommend to anyone who enjoys this style. Decantered for an hour before drinking and paired with a roast beef.
