December 24, 2022 - Very good SLH value. Excellent typicity if a bit peppery on the fjnish.
December 14, 2021 - Very good for a screwcap everyday PN. Cherry, brown spices, full of fruit, decent finish. Great QPR.
January 9, 2021 - A good representative Santa Lucia Highlands Pinot with some spice, plenty of berry fruit, heft and 14.2% alcohol. Just a hint of a slight medicinal taste in the finish. Improves with air. This is the first vintage made after Gallo's acquisition of the winery and vineyards. Tasted several times. Will improve with a few more years.
December 24, 2020 - Nose: Pleasant aromas of moss and herbs. Palate: Good acid levels with cherries and some oak hints on the finish. Yummy cheapie Pinot that Talbott always does a good job on.
December 18, 2020 - More modern, toasty and foresty notes on the nose, palate is medium bodied, finishes average. Some acid, but not lean, it's a good modern pinot.
December 17, 2020 - White pepper and smashed raspberries on wet slate comprise the intriguing, perfumed nose. The fruity red theme continues on the palate with strawberries, cinnamon, tomato paste, earth and ash. Medium-light bodied. Good with chicken thighs and vegetables in a tomato-garlic sauce with avocado, arugula, and queso fresca. No need to hold.
December 11, 2020 - Medium bodied and medium fruit. Great value.
November 12, 2020 - Deliciously fruity with forest floor. Time to drink up.
April 16, 2020 - Lots of red fruit (strawberry, raspberry) on the nose along with the forest floor. Better than the last bottle.
December 2, 2019 - Strong fruit on nose - plum, cherry. Also notes of smoke, tar and black pepper. Good balance between fruit and tannin.
