January 16, 2010 - Wow, I just might have a new favorite Champagne. This is so lovely and charming in every way and possibly the best marriage of white and red grapes in a Champagne I've ever experienced. Many times the red grapes just seem to make the wine deeper in tone without actually conveying any pinot flavor, but this has the most pure and luscious sensation of cherry you can imagine, like a ruby jewel set smack in the middle of golden chardonnay. The whole flavor profile is pure fruit -- this isn't a Champagne for those craving toasty/bready/yeasty flavors -- but the fruit's advanced enough to give it real depth and weight. I see from checking Terry Theise's catalog entry on this that Fiacre is a coeur-de-cuvee from free-run juice, which might explain the instant sensation of suavity this conveys.

January 10, 2009 - 91+; Very light gold color with a fine mousse and bead; This seems rather tight with slight toasty aromas and flavors overlaid on light citrus flavors and a long minerally finish. Sophisticated style not a powerhouse champagne. Good with potential improvement in time but probably not a vintage to keep around.

March 29, 2008 - Aroma’s of orange peel, wet dough, grapefruit. Miscellaneous citrus notes that give way to minerals on the finish. foodandwineblog.com

February 9, 2007 - Golden yellow color with tiny tiny bubbles. Bright zingy citrus butterscotch yellow fruit on the nose. Rich toasty focused yeasty yellow fruit on the palate. Serious - may improve with time.
