January 6, 2022 - PnP. Barnyard and rubber tire which thankfully dissipated quickly to reveal citrus and melon notes. More of the same on the palate with nice acidity and minerality. Short citrus finish. Very nice SB.

August 24, 2021 - This aged Sauvignon Blanc (65% French, about a quarter new and the rest neutral; 35% stainless steel) is one is the very best Ontario whites I've tasted, a deep and complex expression from one of the province's finest producers. The nose is fruity and buttery, with lemon-lime and other citrus fruit notes, pineapple, guava, and other tropical fruit notes, apricot, butterscotch, and almond, with nice replays on the palate, where a certain mineral element also takes a prominent place. It's all so well integrated and balanced, the acidity and minerality forming the backbone, the sweet fruit and general creaminess providing body, all within a dry package that shows soft tannins through the long finish.

March 7, 2021 - PnP. Melon and apricot nose. Light and fresh. Nice acidity. Pleasant citrus notes of lemon & lime with mango hints in good balance and with good accompanying minerality. Short citrus finish. A very nice SB excelled locally only perhaps by Five Rows Vineyard.

January 18, 2019 - One of the few Sauvignon Blancs in this part of the world, this bottle is a revelation. A deft touch of oak has mellowed out any potentially dominant grapefruit flavours, leaving a well-balanced, medium bodied wine exhibiting some tropical fruit and spice flavours with surprising depth. Very good.

April 30, 2018 - This barrel-aged Sauvignon Blanc has a reserved nose offering hints of grapefruit and herbs. The dry palate is medium-bodied and creamy with very nice aroma replays and impressive depth of fruit. Nicely balanced overall with very good acidity and subtle oak that is well-integrated. Excellent finish length. Should improve with time.
