  November 1, 2018 - Concentrated ripe black fruits of plums and blackberry jam. Some nice spicy oak elements as well like cocoa and allspice. The aromas are a mix of the syrah and cab, with the syrah dominating the fore and mid palate with it's black fruit, olives and plums, the cab takes a back seat but comes through with some herbal notes. Overall this felt disjointed in its blend as well as the oak. Maybe time will be a friend here, though I'm skeptical. Still, a nice full bodied wine, though tough to pair with food.

  March 13, 2018 - South African Tasting (Embassy of South Africa - Washington, DC): Rich aromas of plum cake, clove and coffee. Ripe black cherries and dark plum fruit. Rich fruit but laced with pepper, cocoa, roasted chestnut. A delicious blend of Cabernet Sauvignon and Shiraz.
