May 13, 2021 - Deep straw in color. Nose of ripe peaches, red apples, and hints of tangerines. Tastes of grapefruit, ripe peaches, and peach pit. Taste better on day two and then on day one as it was a little flat. Day two and up and up with nice fruits and tertiary flavors. Probably at its peak but should drink well for another 5 to 7 years.

March 22, 2017 - Paired this again with Thai food and it was the perfect companion. Similar to my last bottle but with a little more aromatic presence and similar maybe more towards the tropical exotic yellow fruit profile. A nice notable note of salinity on the finish. Very enjoyable and the best bottle yet.

February 27, 2016 - A good showing for this tonight with a rather shy aromatic component but rich flavors of white pear, quince and citrus fruit. Hard to believe this is 15 years old, a testament to a great vintage which seems to be maturing at snail's pace. Good balance and counter acidity to the rich fruit. Appears less sweet than in it's youth but with good secondary development. Went very well with some Thai Penang Currie. An over achieving wine, terrific value.

July 4, 2011 - Another solid bottle. Drank with grilled pork chops, grilled zucchini and hash browns on the grill. 92 points.

May 31, 2011 - 2nd time I have had this. Last time was in 2003. Opened on Memorial day with some friends in Michigan. This wine has evolved very nicely. Another fine example of how good the 2001 vintage in Germany was. This is normally not a top estate or wine but was elevated by the vintage.Medium yellow color. Not as sweet as it was back in 2003 but like so many Spatlese and Auslese from 2001 this has put on some depth. 92 points.
