May 3, 2023 - Poured off its sediment and served with dinner. Black cherry and holiday spice notes with a cardamom undertone. Cherry, Asian five spice and something a bit herbaceous and almost stemmy. Nice.
September 30, 2022 - Popped and poured. Cherry and spice with softened acidity and a nice finish. Continues to be a nice wine for the price.
June 3, 2022 - Much better. My last (4th) bottle. Maybe I was early in 2020? Ha… who knows, at least the wife really likes it now. Wine is so subjective 😂
June 1, 2022 - Black cherry and clove. Medium-bodied. Decent.
April 11, 2022 - color: clear light ruby; nose: strawberry & raspberry; taste: medium-bodied mouth feel, ripe red fruit taste, finish is medium+ in length with moderate tannins and notes of unsweetened chocolate; overall: very likeable, good structure, drinking well now (Spring 2022) and probably for another few years.
January 16, 2022 - Tasted along with the 2016. The depth of this wine stood out. The fruit had broken down, so deeper, earthy notes were present. A wonderful mix with the hard sheep's cheese we had to pair.
January 7, 2022 - Popped and poured. Cherry and funky earthy elements. Not as enjoyable as previous exam0es.
October 16, 2021 - Same as previous TN. This is still singing!
July 6, 2021 - Slowly becoming something vaguely resembling pinot. Hits a few nice notes, but still plagued by lack of complexity and excessive alcohol.
June 17, 2021 - Makes a decent base for sangria.
