July 8, 2019 - One of the best Cornas wines I have tasted, and up there with an Alain Voges 1985. Intense flavours of meat and violets. A silky smooth experience and the ability to be both robust and delicate - a tough balance! Still a deep purple with lots of life left, albeit at its absolute peak. This was simply sublime. Drank with SW.

June 10, 2018 - Pulling a Kevin Shin - a full day of fine wines over leisurely meals; 6/8/2018-6/11/2018 (Southern California): the opposite of the 1989. Also double decanted before dinner. A bit reticent when we first poured it, not as expressive. But as the night wore on, the palate started to reveal and unfurl from its dark structured frame. Loads of dark sweet fruit and tannin. Heavy on the palate and really sits on the finish.
