April 16, 2023 - I agree w others that the wine didn’t really open during the initial phase over dinner and then several hours later when we drank the last glass to see if it had changed. However, I thought there was a nice cherry note, medium body and medium finish. I had some Lamarche 2009 Bourgogne rouge that I drank through somewhat quickly, but when I opened my last bottle at 10 years, it was amazing. I am hoping my 3 more of these follow the same path and will wait a while to try the next one. Also, I still think it was a decent buy at the $31 I paid. Some B rouge are into the $50s and much of CA Pinot that is entry level but decent starts at high $30s and beyond.

August 31, 2021 - Burgs under $100: Another disappointing Bourgogne. A couple of friends took a punt on this as it was going for $31 but on this showing not even worth that. Nose was acceptable but a little candied. The palate was very hollow though with some tea-like tannins, and the finish was curiously short and abrupt.

February 15, 2020 - Hmmm.... Best way to say it is that while the wine is “smooth” with integrated tannins, it is lacking in fruit and what, for lack of a better term, might be called a “top end note” of structure and acidity. Compared this against a 2015 Joseph Roty Bourgogne Pressonnier, which was far superior albeit also more expensive. In other words, drinkable and inoffensive but a bit flat and uninteresting. Perhaps with more time in the bottle it will improve. All this said, I believe it could be easily served to most uncritical people with confidence.

February 11, 2020 - First time having this producer. A decent Bourgogne, but many others I prefer in this price range.

    April 28, 2019 - Eye: ruby
Nose: primary fruits, sandlewood, wet stone with medium acidity and medium finish.

Overall nothing very complicated here just pretty good juice. Has another 3 years if u want to rest it.

March 3, 2019 - Nice and classic in character with a touch of funk. Tough to follow a Bourgogne from MG though. Probably does benefit from a bit of aging.
