April 5, 2021 - Yikes does this overperform. Very tropical with papaya and mango, fresh, crisp acidity and some cool mineral tones that keep the ripe fruits in check. Mild vanilla oak peeking through as well. In short, delicious but I like this style of chablis. Not at all steely or linear at this point.

June 26, 2020 - Brilliant! Pale yellow/golden color, medium viscosity, medium alcohol. On the nose, got grapefruit, ripe orange, lemon, hawthorn and hint of earth. On the palate, well integrated with crisp acidity and long mineral finish. Held to its 1er Cru seriousness and deliciousness. Yum!

January 18, 2020 - This is one good Chablis. Really complex and has more depth than most Chablis. Much smoother and only at the end is the finish more in the style of Chablis. Not as acidic or sharp as most Chablis are. Truly a delightful bottle of wine. Was the WOTN amongst a bunch of white burgundies!

April 5, 2019 - Medium straw/gold. green apples, jasmine, a touch of chalkiness and a little chard richness. Very round, approaching soft with a fine bead of acidity. Drinking like a Macon (a good Macon)

February 15, 2019 - The nose was a rich yet wonderfully mineral-inflected mix of ripe pear, young mango, lemon zest, crushed stone and hints of savory herbs. On the palate, I found silky textures of medium-weight, offset by spicy citrus-tinged yellow stone fruits, which were backed by a mix of acid and minerals that tugged at the senses and created a gorgeous balance. Yellow and green tropical fruits resonated on the finish, along with lasting minerality, ginger and a mouthwatering sensation from the Vaillons zesty acidity. I am impressed.
