May 5, 2023 - Lovely wine. Shows from unique characteristics and strong tannins. I enjoyed it with some softer cheese and crackers. Not quite a bold Cabernet but no shrinking flower either.
May 22, 2020 - Taste from Steve Ha.
Very nice restrained style actually. Darker blue fruit and some light violet floral notes.
Palate again shows nice acid and not too much richness believe it or not. Enjoyed more than I expected to.
October 25, 2019 - Opened to breathe for an hour. On the nose, soft minerals, spices, oak. Very pretty. The palate is lighter than I'm used to in CA cab, lots of blackberry, mineral, oak, iodine, and a little pepper in the background. Well made, clearly CA, just not special, and not really worth the price point.
February 1, 2019 - Mixed berries on the nose with dark red fruits on the palate. Relatively light phenolics for a $50+ Napa cab.
There’s nothing flawed about this wine, but it’s disappointing at this price.
April 9, 2018 - Medium to dark ruby red. Rich nose with dark baking spices, cinnamon, dark cocoa, black berries and a touch of plums. Medium plus to heavy tannins (7/10) and full bodied. Notes of anise, cocoa, black currants, dark fruits and cinnamon. Long finish. Drink till 2028.
April 9, 2018 - This is young and will be interesting in a few years.
Full bodied. Dryish finish
August 17, 2017 - Wow. What a crappy wine. Light, poor, simple candy bouquet. Medium body. Virtually no Napa character. An extraordinarily poor effort. Took a flyer for $45 at Costco. One can do better with $15 from Chile.
December 7, 2016 - Suprisingly approachable at a young age. Chocolate notes, dark fruit, rich tannin. I thought for a Napa Cab at this price point was a little thin but overall hit most of the big napa cab usuals.
