    September 24, 2019 - Not as bold as expected for a petite sirah. Pleasant and easy drinking, but thinner than the typical PS.

    June 7, 2019 - Big, tasty. Surprisingly not a fruit bomb. Very smooth.

    January 17, 2019 - 100% Petite Sirah aged 40 months in new French oak. Not a typical Sirah drinker, but I did enjoy this to mix things up a bit. Dark purple color with sweet aromas of blackberry and other dark, stone fruit along with moss, earth and coffee. Super dense. Needs some time even still. You have to be a fan of this type of wine to be sure.

    January 12, 2019 - Motor oil dense and still tight after six years. Even on Day 2, it was still relatively unpenetrable. A lot of promise to this wine and so hats off to Fernandez and Shafer; will wait at least a year before I open the next bottle. IJB's earlier review (below) is spot-on and I have nothing useful to add.

    January 8, 2019 - Eighty Four is a dark and brooding wine featuring black and blue fruit. Even at almost 7 years old, there is still a ton of tannins. The finish is long, punctuated by an overwhelming amount of acidity. You'll be rewarded for a lengthy decant or just giving it another 4+ years in the cellar. This wine was polarizing in our household. If you don't like Petite Sirah then I would stay away.
