November 6, 2019 - Krug dinner at Farr Vintners (Farr Vintners London): The Rose with 2006 base wine showed terrific here from magnum. Nice deep pink/red in colour, the nose is very intriguing with cloves, on the palate it is a very vinous and generous/warm, expansive and simply drinking superbly. As Krug 2006 goes: For me my preferred champagne over 06 vintage and Krug NV 162 (2006 base wine). I have had mildly disappointing experience with Krug rose before but this time Krug rose was a revelation. Possibly the magnum helped too. Special and can be drunk now but will age well too.

October 10, 2018 - Lazy sunday afternoon Krug event - Vertical of 160eme-166eme , some vintage brut, Mesnil and Rose.: out of magnum: I enjoy Krug Rose way more out of magnum than 750 and 375. The candied ripeness of the red fruit is way less prominent and it allows the fleshier creamy mouthfeel and acid to play more in the forefront.
