I think I just don't "get" Salon, I'm never as thrilled with it as everyone else seems to be. The white Burgundy that followed was far more impressive to me than either vintage of Salon.

October 20, 2023 - Agree with Benblu….from a vertical dinner this was surprisingly accessible for young Salon and as it aired and warmed the wine became very expressive with tropical notes complementing the lemony fruit and high acidity. Fully enjoyed this

July 5, 2023 - Exceptional showing for a young Salon - I usually find Salon difficult below 25 years. The vintage here helped clearly that's not to say that this is not a mineral precise tightly coiled Salon but it feels that the warm 2012 vintage helps soften these attributes sufficiently to still render this Salon today hugely enjoyable in it's youth. Should age great too of course! 95 today with potential.

June 14, 2023 - Discreet brioche and lemony scents, followed by an explosive mouthfeel with chalky bone dry and very fine bubbles, long finish. This is a wine of refinement, and to drink on its own on a philosophical evening with oneself (lt may help to reflect on the absurdity and the insane prices)
