January 4, 2023 - Beautifully round and creamy red berries in the mature bouquet. Also some dark berries, chocolate and barnyard flavors. On the palate the same impressions, some tobacco as well. Beautiful acidity and round, fully mature tannin with still a soft and pleasant bite. Good length.

    January 4, 2023 - 20230401 - EEE - Pomerol: Fluweelrood met een bruine rand.
In de neus kers, lucifer, vlezig/dierlijk, cacao en koffie. In de mond heel sappige kers, zwarte bes, zoete kruiden, koffie, rozebottel. Elegant en mooie lengte. Tannines mooi rond.

August 31, 2022 - An old-school, old-fashioned style Pomerol! Quite delicate and complex, ageing so well but needs to drink up!

November 5, 2021 - Rich plummy nose with a bit of leather, cedar and some herbal notes. Nice secondary development, medium-bodied with some cherry, pomegranate and damson plum, with a slightly chewy, sandalwood-laced finish. Took about an hour to open up, and seems to be drinking at or near its apex, and enjoyable but not particularly complex.

June 7, 2020 - This one is past its prime. It’s mellow but the fruit is barely there. The acids come out strongly without any requisite matching body. The wine is drinkable but really offers no pleasure anymore-it’s too late. If you have any give it a shot, but drink it right off; and certainly don’t keep it for a second night.

March 6, 2020 - Past prime. Vertical 2002 is better.

August 19, 2018 - May be past it's prime. Popped but didn't pour for two hours. Tried on opening. Very nice old world nose. Not quite first growth but distinctive. Paired with filet. Wine is medium bodied with delicate fruit. Went well with the steak but so would water. Finish average.

December 23, 2017 - I was amazed at how this wine showed. Decanted for 30 mins prior to drinking and that opened up everything. This is great for drinking now and I think there's a couple of years left in it at the very most.
