Community Tasting Notes 6

December 2, 2023 - Expressive nose displaying ripe yellow fruit, golden smith, baked apple, a hint of pineapple, honey, marzipan, sweet spices, and minerals. Exceptional concentration, layers upon layers of rich ripe yellow fruit, oily and dense, bright acidity, strong mineral, and a long ripe yellow fruit driven nutty finish. This is a big scale concentrated and ripe village Meursault. A bit heavy and nutty.

August 9, 2021 - Still slightly reductive start, this shows so much orchard fruit with toasted walnut and hazelnut. Richness and density could easily have convinced me this is 1er Cru. Still firm in the middle, this will reward another year or three in the cellar.

April 13, 2020 - Opened an hour before serving. There was clear reduction when opened, but that largely dissipated by the time poured. Ripe apple and pear with toasted hazelnut all follow the wine's charming floral start. Impressive density for Villages level, this is slightly firm in the middle for now. Lots of upside, better to hold until 2023 forward. So good when initially tasted, even better on the second night, and even better promise. From "les Pellans," immediately downslope from Charmes.

November 10, 2019 - Joli nez toasté sur la noisette, une belle matière en bouche mais je recent légèrement l'alcool (14 degrés tout de même), à revoir.

August 3, 2019 - Textbook Meursault. Very good village. Vines from 1945.
