January 1, 2024 - This is such a great wine

September 8, 2023 - Medium intensity with initially yellow apple, beewax, honey, wet stone. High, very present, acidity and a long finish. Very good now, but I can see further upside

Even better on day 2 (92)

December 2, 2021 - Lighter in concentration, I think it's hitting peak now and has unwound. after an hour and a half of air, brings red fruit, like jurancon sec or champagne vin clair. acid driven, still textural, and delightful

September 11, 2021 - Chenin at its very best. Paired excelently with the cheese. We should drink a lot more chenin!

September 4, 2021 - Consistent yellow. Nose of wet wool, slightly waxy, lanolin - may mean nothing to you but is my marker for chenin blanc, and I get it here. Otherwise initially not very expressive on the nose. Strong attack on the front end - tingly acid. Unless you drink nothing but Chenin blanc you notice the acid immediately. The acid informs the entire wine but especially on the back end, where it pushes the finish onward. Quite full on the palate - more than I expected. I think it is really a food wine because of this fullness. Fully ripe orchard fruits on the palate - apple. Not yet complex. Really long - with a very strong sense of stoney minerality on the back end (no doubt something to do with the acid). Those who find the slightly high octane of this wine to their liking will surely find this excellent. No hurry at all to drink this.
