May 7, 2022 - Very complex, deep aroma with rich red fruit, earth, stems, and a slight sting of alcohol at first. Smooth and well integrated palette — mostly chocolate, honey and butterscotch notes but also some red cherries and raspberries. A tad sweet.

Fully mature and ready to drink, some other reviewers mention fruit in decline and I agree. Lots of sediment.

November 28, 2020 - An aging warrior in decline. Nowhere near the two bottles tasted last year. The color is a mature but not old ruby. Lovely nose of plum fruit, stones and dried herbs - maybe a bit of cinnamon. The palate is starting to crack. Acid is taking over the fruit and the texture is beginning to roughen. Still a lot to like but just not at the level of past bottles. I’ve got one more and will open before the end of the year. (88)

December 21, 2019 - Reminds me of the 2013 tasting note, but more developed and perhaps with a bit more sweet fruit. Fully developed, unlikely to improve, but not yet old, 91 pts.

November 3, 2019 - This is a very impressive CDP - just as impactful as the bottle drunk in September. Classic, a touch wild with good depth and a silky, medium bodied personality. This bottle has an especially deep and captivating nose. Drink soon. (94)

October 19, 2019 - I thought this would be well over the hill judging by my experience with this wine the last time I tried it in 2014. This was definitely at peak and maybe even starting to fade a touch. The alcohol is a little too obvious for my liking but there is still good fruit on the palate. Nice silkiness to this wine. Drink up.
