August 29, 2020 - Initial smell of halitosis and PnP, so needed a good 60 minutes of air. Black and red cherries, blackberries, blueberries, brown spices, and little damp vegetation, licorice, and pepper on the nose. Tangy red cherries, blackberries, blueberries, tart cherries, licorice, alcohol spice, earth, and some herbs on the palate. Low-medium acidity, integrated tannins, long finish. At just the right temperature (a little cooler than average) and the right amount of air, this is a really nice wine with good complexity. The alcohol stands out a bit too much though, which is a bummer.

August 16, 2020 - Crimson in color. 14.9% ABV. The first vintage of Galitzine. 100% Cabernet Sauvignon. Heady nose of black fruits, molten licorice, scorched earth and Whitman Sampler box. Rich, plush and exceptionally concentrated. Just a touch of heat on the back of the palate. Flavors of black cherry, black currants, cassis liqueur and cherry cordials. The finish is exceptionally long and silky. The heat is slightly distracting but there is no denying the wine is still showing well at sixteen years of age. Best over the next 2-4 years.

June 3, 2020 - CT cleanup. From memory a few years ago. At a Berserkerfest in my backyard. Rebecca went downstairs and grabbed a bottle and asked "How about if we drink this?" I said "sure, let's go with 100 points with some 100 point food. It was very very outstandingly good.

May 29, 2019 - Delicious dark red fruit flavors with nice spices and good lift. Impressive. Was even better on day two after 1/3 of bottle put in fridge overnight. Speaks to long life ahead and upside.
