April 21, 2019 - My first Pride Viognier. This is a respectable alternative to Chardonnay. Slightly more chalky and crisp than a chard. Best served at refrigerator temperature. Drink now.

October 28, 2018 - One of my favorite, if not all-time favorite, whites from CA. Wonderful nose of spring flowers, white peach and melon with a hint of stone. Very balanced, smooth finish. Like a great Condrieu - succeeds in being light on its feet yet full bodied. Can only compare this to the 2007 consumed previously, and it is significantly better. Very special vintage for this varietal at Pride. Tasted twice with consistent notes.

September 27, 2018 - An elegant and cool weather Viognier, crisp pear juice and white peach aromas, stone pits all the way through, white floral perfume, no overt sugar. The texture and weight of this beauty make it very food friendly: shawarma chicken, fried eggplant, green curry, all work perfectly. Open an hour early if you can, and this should be great for 4-5 years.

May 27, 2018 - First winery on day three traveling from Sonoma to Napa Valley was Pride Mountain Vineyards with Paul. Second wine is Michelle Obama's favorite white wine, the Viognier. This bottling is made up of 100% Viognier and aged in 100% neutral French oak. Only 1,092 cases produced.

Light pale yellow with a slight greenish hue. Very aromatic and bright with tons of white floral elements, stone fruits, white peaches and a touch sweet. Crisp acidity (5.5/10) with a light plus body. Nice amount of minerality carrying throughout on the palate with some apricots, pears, chalk and sweet white grapes. Medium plus to long finish. Very easy going and easy to drink. Drink till 2022.
