April 29, 2024 - Acidity still quite strong - but a little more open now.
January 23, 2024 - Seemingly too young right now with screeching acid and high toned lemon citrus. I am not generally a 2007 fan / have limited experiences, but I would say that, right now, this doesn't show that lovely blanc de blanc cream or brioche. Definitely powerful, just searingly acidic and singularly citrus.
October 20, 2023 - Searing acidity and minerality, very linear fruit….if you like high acid and vineyard typicity you can add a point or two, as the limestone character really shines through in this vintage
July 14, 2023 - Dinner with DJCV at Beniot. Very acid focused. Laser focused precision. Lacking the depth and richness of the 02 which was consumed side by side. Still very tight after many hours of air.
July 13, 2023 - 40th Birthday celebration for I (Sushi Yuki): Pnp. If this was blind, it was impossible to guess its age. The colour is pale yellow with tint of green. Lemon, citrus and the palate so dense and intense. Revisit 10 years later
July 11, 2023 - Magnum, always fresher and tastier, bright but more composed, very subtle, grippy, probably a few glasses too much and too quick that I felt it the morning after. 93-94
June 24, 2023 - Lovely Champ but surprisingly tight at the moment.
March 24, 2023 - Extreme purity and razor sharp focus.
Lots of minerality, chalk, green apples and beautiful bouquet of white flowers.
It got better with air.
I think this one really shows the charisma of Salon but way too early now.
At the night, I think Salon 2012 was more open and more approachable at this stage.
February 22, 2023 - I was lucky enough to taste it second time and it was better served this evening.
November 19, 2022 - Acker JK 51st birthday in NYC. Champagne flight. Discreet and leesty nose, followed by complex flavours mixing white almond, citrus and chalk, very fine and aethereal bubbles, long fresh palate staining finish. My fav of the flight and a clear cut above the rest.
