Medium red, fruity aroma, taste of cherry and light tannins, short finish.
December 12, 2021 - Didn't have record of this purchase; think it was in a Wine Library pack of some sort, I gather as an inexpensive filler. Medium ruby color. Smells like damp earth, tobacco, mushroom, and light funk, along with cassis, eucalyptus, and graphite. Nice start. Tastes like blue and black fruits, some jammy, extracted plum, and lemon. Kinda coats my mouth and teeth in sugary way. Pretty good acidity and finish, but isn't enough to balance the pretty assertive fruit here. Smells great (91). Little overdone on the palate (84).
July 30, 2021 - earthy aroma, a bit sweet from the juicy fruits but still leaves a nice taste of tannins in your palate. Hint of vanilla and cherry and medium to long finish.
February 25, 2020 - Totally solid with red cherry-berry and chocolate notes, slightly herbaceous & stemmy on the smooth rounded finish.
December 8, 2019 - Great value at Wine Library <$10 Wine Text price. Unscrewed and poured and had with pasta. Lush wine with dark red and dark fruits. Alc not evident while or after drinking. Great value for money. Sorry that I only bought 3. Would buy again by the case at this price.
May 8, 2019 - Darn good for the money. Loads of dark fruit, char and earth without the cheap taste normally associated with this price point. A moderate comlexity, full body and loq acidity made this a great week night bottle. 89-90
