October 11, 2019 - An exceedingly ripe musar and not entirely suited to my personal preference. Still, it shows the classic musar underextraction and juice richness. You can see the new regimen coming into shape here as the wine is brett free. However the aldehyde character so intrinsic to musar is retained. Ripe apricots, tea, sherry- as you can see not the most complex musar but highly highly serviceable and very good value. even though admittedly the alcohol is on the upper end of the spectrum, it is balanced nicely by the sheer richness of the juice

September 10, 2019 - Very slight volatility, gamey, oxidised, leather over pretty red and blackberry fruit. Tight, thick, chewy tannins over similar fruit, cleaner on the palate.

May 19, 2019 - This is, I believe, my 5th Musar vintage - 98,99, 01, 04 and now 11. Clearly this is way too young, but I had to try. I am coming to the conclusion that Musar verticals are nonsense. Every year has a completely different stylistic and can be compared to a completely different wine region. So is this now like a very good barolo with at least 5 years to go before it should be drunk. It is tight, very concentrated, powerful wine, with little of the usual Musar orange peel. Leather, earthy tones and high complexity. It will push 93-95 in 5-10 years. Now it should really be left alone.

    May 10, 2019 - Ung mørk rød.

Intens duft av moden rød frukt. Krydder og lær.

Fyldig med god syre. Krydret frukt på smak. Mye, men fine og tydelige tanniner. Balanserer fint med syre, og kommer til å lagre fint lenge.
    Saftig, dyp, krydret utgang. Lang.

    93/100
